The GATED analysis workflow is applicable to ECG-gated PET and SPECT data. Gated acquisitions use ECG-triggering to divide the signal into different phases of the heartbeat, which are reconstructed as images. The resulting images capture the heart in different phases of contraction, forming the basis for the analysis of heart function.
